After two successful Summer Schools of Influenza held in 2011 and 2012, the University of Siena and the International Society for Influenza and other Respiratory Virus Diseases (ISIRV) invite you to participate in the School of Influenza 2016 (Corso di formazione in Influenza), planned for 11-15 April 2016 in Siena (Italy).
The University of Siena-ISIRV School of Influenza is ideally aimed at young scientists and is a great opportunity to obtain a thorough grounding in all key aspects of influenza, with lectures given by world-renowned experts in their field. A limited number of Fellowships will be granted with preference being given to those from resource-poor countries.
The lectures are intended to provide a deeper understanding of Influenza and/or increase the student’s knowledge and skills in the field of Influenza, such as Virology, Vaccination and Immunology. Therefore the School is ideal for those who are starting a scientific career and those who work in local health organisations, governmental departments and non-governmental organisations.
The School of Influenza will give you the opportunity to spend five days networking with researchers and internationally renowned scientists in the field of Influenza originating from academic, industrial and public service backgrounds.
One afternoon will be free from lessons, so you can explore the beautiful medieval town of Siena and the Tuscany Region.
