Professor Rebecca Jane Cox
Professor of Medical Virology and Head of the Influenza Centre at the University of Bergen, Norway
Rebecca Cox’ research career has focused on evaluating and developing improved influenza vaccines with focus on detailed characterisation of the immune response. Current funding is from the European Union, Norwegian Research Council, Centre of Excellence as The Jebsen Centre for Influenza Vaccines and the Department of Health. She has over 70 peer-reviewed publications in journals or as book chapters. Rebecca is a member of The Norwegian Influenza Pandemic committee, and has been an invited expert at World Health Organization meetings on influenza vaccines, the European Union – Investigator Initiated trials, and has served as an advisor to the European Medicines Agency on Scientific Aspects of Serological assays.
